One of the reasons I love Facebook so much is stalking talking to people that I know from my past. Okay that’s not entirely true – I also like looking through the posts of people I don’t know (stalking) and looking at what people I do know are doing (also stalking).
You can imagine my delight when I was stalking looking through a page of a friend that I used to go to school with and was rewarded with an entire post of things I didn’t know about her. I loved it so much that I liked it. What I hadn’t understood was that if I liked the post I had to return the favour – so thanks to Tali, here are 11 things you didn’t know about me.
1. I love all animals but not so much birds. Chickens maybe, but not birds that fl, I am actually scared of them. I blame the fact that they are yukky. I could blame Alfred Hitchcock because it’s much more mature but I have never seen the movie.
2. I get very upset if my husband falls asleep before me. In fact I can’t fall asleep unless he’s awake.
3. I think it’s very important to talk about mental health and not shy away from mental illness but I never speak about my own very big struggle with debilitating depression. I plan to change that when I know that talking about it openly wont upset the very delicate balance of my mental state.
4. I wasted used my entire twenties battling demons. I killed some, maimed others and the rest are hiding under the carpet trying to trip me when I am not looking.
5. I am a vegetarian but I hate chickpeas, lentils, tofu and all other foods that vegetarians are supposed to eat.
6. I am more in love with my husband now then I was when we got married.

LOVE it! I am a vegetarian too and I hate carrots and pretty much all orange vegetables. Weird? yes, probably 🙂
Do you like actual oranges though? 🙂
I’m such an over-sharer – so I don’t know if I can come up with 11…
1. I have a slight stammer, especially when I’m tired…
2. I don’t like anyone’s feet near my face…
3. I sneeze when I walk outside into bright sunshine…
4. I can’t look directly at anything pointy – knitting needles, pins, Madonna’s bra…
That’s all I can think of off the top of my head… 🙂
My husband also sneezes when he walks outside. Every single time!
It’s the Photic sneeze reflex – The condition affects 18–35% of the human population. 🙂

1. I have two completely different earlobes. Luckily I have really small ears, so you can’t notice. (unless I point it out on someone’s blog…..)
2. I also have two completely different coloured eyebrows. One is black, the other is white. So white you can’t even see it. I have to get it tinted all the time.
3. I cannot use black pens. They feel wrong. All pens must be blue fine point. Or else.
4. I can play the piano and the violin.
5. When I was 11 years old, Fergie and Prince Andrew travelled to our little outback town and opened the RFDS museum. Fergie was wearing a hideous yellow floral dress and matching hat. I shook Andrew’s hand, and saw his cufflinks were gold letter A’s.
6. My first trip to McDonalds was when I was 16. (I lived in the outback, remember?)
7. I am painfully shy. If I ever meet any of you IRL and I appear rude and aloof, I assure you, I’m not. Just very shy.
8. I’m a very negative person. I’ve had to work very hard to look on the bright side of life.
9. I remember the day John Lennon died. I was only three. My dad came home from work and he looked distraught. He said “John Lennon died today”. I remember knowing who John Lennon was, even though I was only three. Clearly my parents were Beatles fans. To this day I remain a huge Beatles fan. I can put on a Beatles cd and time stands still.
10. I wish I’d had more children. Every.single.day.
11. I love rain and cold weather. Give me a winter over a summer anyday. 🙂
